Linotype Model 31
Built in 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. One of two Linotype linecasters in the shop, casts type from 6 to 18 point on a 30 pica lead slug.
Heidelberg Windmill 10x15
Automatic-fed platen press from 1954. Used for medium to longer runs, it is the “Cadillac” of small format letterpress presses.
Chandler and Price 10x15
Built in 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio. Hand-fed platen press used mainly for short and medium length runs.
Poly MAN Automat 50
Built in 1954 in Nuremberg, West Germany. An automatic-fed cylinder press, it can print sheets up to 14 1/2” x 20 1/2” in fine register with precise color control.
Brandtjen and Kluge 12x18
Built in St. Paul, Minnesota. Automatic and hand-fed, used mainly for die-cutting, scoring, and very large hot foil stamping jobs.
